Grandfather Cliff Babblebrook has the gift of gab. He can spin a yarn taller than a redwood. If you have the time, he's got an exciting story for you.
Grandmother Pearl Babblebrook Nobody cooks like Grandma Pearl. It's a good thing, too. She likes to experiment, like using salt instead of sugar in her cookies.
Father Rocky Babblebrook runs the General Store. He sells rakes and hoes and seeds: everything you need for farming. He says every family needs a garden.
Mother Crystal Babblebrook is the best cook in Sylvanian Woods. All the families said she should write a cookbook. And guess what? She did!
Older Brother Bradley Babblebrook works in the General Store with Rocky. Bradley wants to learn everything about the family business, so he can run the store when his dad retires.
Older Sister Beatrice Babblebrook is a bit star struck. She loves to look at famous actors and singers in her magazines and dreams of one day being famous like them.
Brother Bubba Babblebrook is all ears. He hears everything. He can hear a bee buzzing from a block away. He says he can even hear the grass grow.
Sister Breezy Babblebrook likes to have her own way. Luckily, her way is a nice way. If she has candy, she will share it with everyone.
Baby Sandy Babblebrook always wants out of his cradle to see what is going on. When he and his twin Coral are on the loose, there is double trouble!
Baby Coral Babblebrook gets hungry, she gets loud! She and Sandy howl and rock their cradles until someone rushes in with their bottles.

 Version Information: There are at least 5 versions of the Babblebrooks: 1) Japanese with snaps- this version was the first and the biggest. This is the only version to include the older brother and sister. The babies have solid bodies, and came in four different colored gowns. 2) Japanese velcro- 1990s version of the JP Babblebrooks. Mother, father, brother, sister , a single jointed body baby, and a twin set. 3) US/UK flat hand with snaps, grandparents included. 4) US Calico Critters open hand version, and 5) UK open hands version, grandparents available in this version as well. Version 4 and 5 are identical except for some clothing differences, babies for these versions are still single body mold. Jointed babies were released in Australia. A sitting twin, baby Timothy, was released with the Nanny and baby set.
