~The Dappledawn Family~
Father Herbage Dappledawn loves going for long walks in what he calls 'The Great Outdoors'. His family calls him 'Big Foot' because he takes such big strides that the children almost have to run to keep up with him.
Mother Theodora Dappledawn has a passion for anything old. Her favorite pastime is visiting stately homes and historic monuments. She says that they "bring history to life."
Brother Radish Dappledawn loves running around castles and pretending he is a gallant knight rescuing fair maidens and challenging evil Barons to duels. He also often goes orienteering with his friends, a sport where you go from one place to another using a map and compass.
Sister Tilly Dappledawn is a very quiet little girl who happily spends hours and hours birdwatching. She knows all the birds names, where they come from and what they eat.
Baby Dillon Dappledawn never stops smiling. He's happiest witting on his father's broad shoulders. From up there he can watch the pretty countryside go by-- and that makes him smile even more.
Baby Cotton Dappledawn is always crying or whimpering about something, so her poor mother is praying she will grow out of this awkward phase!
