| Father Clay Newearth turns rock, mud, and clay into bricks and tiles of all kinds. Then he uses them to make chimneys, walkways, and other lovely accents for the homes in Sylvania. Clay is well known for his quality work, but not for his speed. |  |

| Mother Marigold Newearth works at her potter's wheel for hours on end making plates, bowls, vases, and other vessels. After decorating and firing, the items are beautiful works of art as well as useful household items. | ||||||||
| Brother Wren Newearth wants to be an architect someday. He is always asking questions about how houses are built and draws designs for new houses. Wren also designed the perfect treehouse for his backyard-- and then built it! | ||||||||
| Sister Sally Newearth is very messy. Her room is messy, her school desk is messy, even her bookbag is messy. Because of this she is always losing things. Often she is late for school because she can't find her homework on her messy desk. | ||||||||
| Baby Sweetpea Newearth is very curious. She is always exploring or asking questions about anything and everything. Her favorite questions are "What are you doing?", "What is that?", or "How does that work?" | ||||||||
