The Day the Waddlingtons Came to Tea

by Christopher, age 5

I am Brown Bear (Birch) Timbertop, and I live with my family in a shoebox. We had our tea and there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and the Waddlingtons stood there. They came along with a basket. And I said to myself, “There could be a tiger in there, or a monkey.” It was a present! And inside the present there was a brown bear! A baby brown bear popped out, and it said, “ga goo.”
They next day when we woke up it was school day, but not for the baby. But we stayed at home with Father, Mother, Grandpa and Grandma. One day my 16-year-old brother James came home because he was feeling ill before home time. And he said, “When I ate my lunch today I was just so hot, I couldn’t eat it.”

The End!
